At the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, Hyundai Motor America revealed the Elantra Touring-five-door compact. The model has as base the i30 CW model that was designed for the European market. It offers class-leading interior volume, outstanding front legroom and front and rear shoulder room. Under the hood hides a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter in-line 4-cylinder found in the Elantra sedan. It offers a dynamic driving experience and its character is another key driver of its sporty driving nature. In developing and refining the safety features of the Elantra Touring, Hyundai employed advanced design systems and sophisticated computer simulation, combined with intensive components testing.
